Béla Bunyik handles over the Award to Attila Bokor		56 drops of blood was nominated to Academy Award - informed Attila Bokor those who were present on the ceremonies on 7 October in the morning with Béla Bunyik and framers of the film in Vajdahunyadvár Anonymus Restaurant. Béla Bunyik organizer of Los Angeles Hungarian Film Festival handled the Audience Award, the Michael Curtis Award to framers of the Film that news reached the travellers at home preliminarily.

Musical 56 drops of Blood started its overseas conquest on the seventh Los Angeles Hungarian Film Festival. The Film was prized with enthusiastic applause and more famous film-maker appreciated the Film. Among the framers Attila Bokor , Tamás Mihály and Endre Nagy attended to the Beverly's Hills Laemmle Music Hall festival held in Los Angeles. Among 21 excellent names hall-marked Hungarian films it was 56 drops of blood that prized with the Audience Award of the Festival, that is Michael Curtis Award named about excellent Hungarian Director Mihály Kertész. The enframed  certificate of the festival was took over from America by Béla Bunyik, and hereupon handled over to director Attila Bokor in the presence of the press.

On the ceremony next to Béla Bunyik appeared Tamás Palcsó a main charachter of the film,Tamás Pintér whose idea was the 56 drops of blood ,Director Attila Bokor; Tamás Mihály composer, producer Endre Nagy who briefly reported from their impressions and adventures connetced to the film . A producer separately mentioned Attila Kaszás, who died before the hungarian springpremier of the film and talked about  the artist's greatness and that he left a gap that cannot be filled.

With regard to Michael Cutris Award Béla Bunyik said that there were only two out of the total votes who scored 4 out of the maximum 5 and there was one who put a number 10 and wrote congratulation onto the sheet. The director of the Film Festival told also, that the appearers pointed out greatness of the music separately, and that English translation of the songs exceptional also , which declaredly is an exceptional rarity in the States . This art was screened to the Members of the Jury of the Golden Globe but its result can only be heard about in probably december …

Bokor Attila informed the newspaper writers, that official nomination of Hungary in the category foreign film according to the rules is Taxidermia of György Pálfi, but according to rules which at least projected for one week in the States (for 2 weeks continuously the musical was a visible) nameable – not the foreign film section but any category of the Academy Award. After this extraordinary success and the Audience Award in Los Angeles, framers of the film are deliberating nomination for Oscar Award. In this case 56 drops of blood must compete with the huge American Films in the category entered… Pintér Tamás, the action director of the film added: the musical’s action scenes already nominated for the Oscar of the Stuntmen namely for Taurus World Stunt Award.
In the end the director introduced the freshly appeared 56 drops of blood DVD, on which all the tracks of music, the werkfilm, photoes prepared on the works and the - uncut -film interview with Attila Kaszás also visible.

Background information

In Beverly Hills Leammle Music Hall Theatre held Film Festival was organized by Bunyik Entertainment – company of Producer Béla Bunyik who lives in Los Angeles – together with Hungarian Filmunio between 11th and 18th October. 56 Drops of Blood on Hungarian Film Festival the was screened in English version. After that, English version was screened in Sunset Five Film Theatre until 1st of November.
